Wild Nothing’s highly anticipated album Life of Pause is set for release next week, and to contribute to all the excitement, new tracks from the album just keep showing up. “A Woman’s Wisdom” follows the already released tracks “To Know You,” “TV Queen,” “Reichpop,” as well as the title track “Life of Pause.” All of these tracks allude perfectly to the fact that Jack Tatum wishes to remain flexible and malleable as a musician, and in this case, he seems to end his infatuation with the hazy, breezy dream pop seen in Nocturne. Instead, as seen with “Life of Pause” as well as new track “A Woman’s Wisdom,” there’s more of a groovy, jazz-like undertone that evokes certain melodies and rhythms of 70’s pop, and for Tatum, this change just feels right. Life of Pause will be released on February 19th.
