Night Moves – “Denise, Don’t Wanna See You Cry”

Night Moves are all set to release their sophomore album Pennied Days on March 25th, and as a teaser, have released the trippy, evocative video for single “Denise, Don’t Wanna See You Cry.” The trio seems to be heavily inspired by soft ’80’s sounds, as clearly heard in both the swelling instrumentals to John Pelant and Micky Alfano’s wonderfully intertwined voices. There’s a succinct, almost tangible feeling of nostalgia and yearning, and as a result, nothing in the track seems excessive or frivolous. While we may never know who “Denise” really is, there’s a slight chance everyone has someone like her in their lives that causes this much desperation and emotional strife.
