Bonobo is the recording name of Simon Green, who is an electronic musician, DJ, and producer from Britain. His electronic music, however, seems more casual, relaxed, and intuitive, and doesn’t overwhelm you in sound. Of course, the fact that it’s a bit more quiet doesn’t devalue it’s tenacity and sincerity, and, on it’s own, it’s actually incredibly complex and layered. In his new track “Duals,” that use of layering and overlapping is heard. It seems that each minute welcomes a new technique or sample, which, at the same time, keeps the repeating melody from going stale and keeping you on your toes. It’s fresh, joyful, and light, and overall almost warm and intellectual. “Duals” is from Bonobo’s EP Ten Tigers, which was released earlier this year.
