Caravan Palace – “Rock It for Me”

1330945683_coverCaravan Palace is a band that mixes many genres absolutely flawlessly. Their music is an amazing concoction of French swing, jazz, electro pop, and dubstep. My friend introduced me to their music a few days ago, and it’s truly an experience listening to them. Caravan Palace was formed in Paris a few years ago, and they slowly became popular on the European charts with their single “Jolie Coquine.” They have mentioned that their influences include Django Reinhardt and Daft Punk, which is perfect considering that their music is literally a direct mixture of the two. In this song titled “Rock It for Me,” a lot of impressive instrumentals along with an addictive vocal backing turn this into a track you can’t help but dance along to. In fact, the members put on such a show while performing, doing everything from choreographed dancing to implementing electric violins, upright basses, and traditional brass instruments. The official music video is simply amazing as well, thanks to the brilliant animation. “Rock It for Me” is from Caravan Palace’s second album Panic, which was released in 2012. I really hope they put out some new music soon!
