Body Language is an indie disco/techno band from Brooklyn. Their music consists of synth and electronic powered beats and dreamlike vocals, and all together it sounds, well, a bit funky. Funky in the best way, of course. However, they are incredibly versatile, covering everything from upbeat, dance powered songs to slow, thoughtful ballads. Vocalists Matt Young and Angelica Bess know how to compliment each other when singing, and the other band members know exactly how to back them up. In this track titled “Charm,” the slower, more passionate side is seen, and creates sweet, almost sticky sounds that remind me of the likes of AlunaGeorge. They are their own sound, however, and it’s definitely something special. “Charm” is from Body Language’s second album Grammar, which was released last year.
