A Silent Film are an indie alternative band from Oxford and their music reminds me of the choral vocals of Coldplay and the musical stylings of One Republic. However, they are their own design, and their music, like all other artists, stand apart on it’s own. The four-piece band released their first album, The City That Sleeps, in 2011 and it was received well by the media, which lead to other great opportunities for the band. They have played Glastonbury and SXSW, and everything in between. They then released Sand & Snow in 2012, where this amazing track, “Harbour Lights” calls it’s home. This song really shows their influences from other artists, and it’s alternative indie at it’s finest.
