Dan Croll – “Home”

CaptureNew artist alert! Dan Croll is a 23 year old British singer/songwriter that specializes in indie pop and something called folktronica(? I have never heard that term before, but I really like it, and it’s the perfect way to describe his sound). I discovered Dan Croll from Burberry Acoustic where he played his sweet song “Home,” a mellifluous melody about one’s past. He sings about how little things remind him of his home and his family and friends and you can distinctly hear the yearning nature in the twangs of his beautiful voice. The lyrics are wonderfully written, and he and his band mates create stunning harmonies that take the song to a whole new level. “Home” is among the singles “From Nowhere” and “Compliment Your Soul” from his debut album, Sweet Disarray, which is due out March 10 of this year. The video is adorable, and the acoustic live sessions are just as amazing and might be even better. I’ll put both for your convenience.
